As promised…Delicious Red Beans and Rice Recipe:

As promised…Delicious Red Beans and Rice Recipe:

2 stalks celery
1 small onion
1 small green (bell) pepper
1 lb. Camellia Dry Red Beans
8 cups of Campbells Chicken Broth
1/2 cup finely chopped parsley, plus more for serving
Season to taste (I use 1 tbsp of Cajun seasoning)
A dash of Cayenne pepper
Andouille or Smoke sausage (My mom used to use pickled meat also when we lived in Louisiana but cant find it here)

Heat 2 tbsp of vegetable oil in a heavy pot (Medium heat)
Add the bell pepper, onion and celery.
Add chicken broth, Camellia red beans (don’t forget to soak overnight to cut your cooking time in half)Cook until boiling then add some parsley and cayenne pepper. Reduce heat and simmer until beans start getting creamy then add your sausage.
. Add rice and if you want more spice sprinkle with some good old hot sauce. Trust me - if you like red beans you will not be disappointed.

“Dressing Room Update”- If you have been following me you know I couldn’t decide what to do with my content room. Initially I wanted to build a custom closet but thought this might not be the best decision if we resale our home. I spoke with a friend who purchased a gorgeous IKEA bed and that was it y’all! I did it- I purchased the IKEA PAX system! And the best part ….another friend also purchased the PAX system for her beautiful closet. We were the best tag team ever. As you can imagine we are having fun scouring pieces and talking closet decor. Here is a sneak peek of my system. I wanted to create a boutique look…. So I will add crown molding, baseboards and trim for a more elegant look. Overall I’m extremely pleased. What do you think about the PAX system?

I decided to “just start” and I’m so glad I did. The technical side is somewhat challenging for me but I love a challenge.
