A lot of us have been home for a few weeks now. We’ve gotten creative with our temporary workspace, arranged our living room to allow for a morning workout, and even worked on finding the quiet spot in the house if we lived with others.
Does anything in your house stand out more? Think about a room or a detail that has captured your attention. What do you most appreciate about your home?
I’m now captivated by the beautiful light that comes into my kitchen each morning. This isn’t new, but I guess I overlooked it during the morning rush. These days, this light is refreshing, and slowing down has helped me appreciate the start to a day even more.
Other areas have caught my attention, too. During my last blog post, I realized how much I enjoyed spending time in my garden.
This week, I’ve grown in my appreciation for my blog room. It continues to stand out as a very peaceful place. It’s also where I set up my tripod and snap some of the photos you see on my Instagram page. Here, I watch my favorite bloggers, become inspired to deliver great content, and plan for the future. I’m always making updates to my vision board.
Previously, I was in the beginning stages of redecorating my blog room. Life happened, and I put it on the backburner. Well, here we are again. Although this extra time at home was unplanned, it’s here. Now, instead of redecorating this room, I’m simply going to appreciate the time I spend here.
While in this room, I can briefly step away from the constant news coverage. In this room, I can breathe. I can continue to create, and I’m grateful.
This week, find your room or that special detail. It doesn’t matter the size of your space. You may enjoy a special chair in a room or the balcony space you rarely used. If you’re new to working from home, you may have discovered a creative way to make your office set-up work for you in this season. You might even realize that you like spending time in your backyard while working during the first hour of the day.
Let’s make the best of this, y’all.
